Yesterday game publisher Rockstar Games, infamous for its Grand Theft Auto series, proudly announced 4 new versions of the detective thriller L.A. Noire. The release is scheduled to be the 14th of November 2017 for the Xbox One, the Playstation 4 and the Nintendo Switch. Besides these 3 new console versions, Rockstar is taking its first steps into Virtual Reality with the HTC VIVE.
The story of L.A. Noire is set in dark, post-war Los Angeles, and follows decorated war veteran and newly made detective Cole Phelps, investigating a number of violent cases inspired on actual real-world crimes. With each successful case, Phelps finds himself drawn more and more to the criminal core of L.A.
As said before, Rockstar is releasing 3 new console versions and one VR version:
L.A. Noire for Playstation 4 and Xbox One:
The complete game and all DLCs, with numerous graphical enhancements. These enhancements will improve authenticity and visual fidelity such as enhanced lighting, cinematics and high resolution textures. Playable in 1080p on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and playable in 4K on the Playstation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.
L.A Noire for Nintendo Switch:
The complete game and all DLCs, with technical enhancements including wide camera angles, gyroscopic, gesture-based controls and a Joy-Con mode. Also, contextual touch screen controls for detective work has been implemented.
L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC VIVE:
A set of seven of the original, exciting cases from L.A. Noire, rebooted in Virtual Reality.
It is said to deliver a truly astonishing interactive experience.
