As mentioned in a blog from last week, Rockstar is releasing 4 new versions of the beloved detective game L.A. Noire. One of these versions will be for the Nintendo Switch, and today we’re going to take a look at why exactly we think you should play this intense little game.
ALL DLCs INCLUDED
The original L.A. Noire game knows five new DLC cases for the player to solve. These intense new investigations included a vice case about a local drug dealer, a homicide on a well known fashion model, and an arson case about mysterious explosions at an electroplating plant. Besides these DLCs, any additional weapons, outfits and tasks that were included in the season pass, worth RM50 when first released, will be included in the Nintendo Switch version.
JOY-CON SUPPORT WITH MOTION CONTROLS
Arguably the main reason to pick up this version of the game, the Nintendo Switch version of L.A. Noire comes with Joy-Con support with motion controls. As said before, Joy-Con mode brings gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble, and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work. Interrogating suspects and investigating evidence will feel so much more real due to these unique controls. All of this is not available on the PS4 and Xbox, so if you want to genuinely feel like you are the person investigating, we recommend the Switch version.
Back in 2011 when L.A. Noire was first released, it was considered a beautiful game for its time, and it still is today. From the amazing facial expressions to the vast, detailed open world, L.A. Noire was graphically ahead of its time. Even so, all new versions being released will get a graphical upgrade. Although the Switch version will never compete with the 1080p version for the PS4 and Xbox One, and the stunning 4K version for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, it will sure be one of the most beautiful games the Switch has ever seen.
MIGHT BRING ROCKSTAR TO RELEASE MORE SWITCH GAMES
Stating the obvious, but if the Switch release of L.A. Noire becomes a success, what stops Rockstar to bring more games to the Switch? Think about it, Red Dead Redemption 2, or even a GTA 6 release on the Switch? I am sure it would even be a success if they start bringing older Rockstar games to the Switch, such as GTA 5, Max Payne or even GTA San Andreas! This could give true Nintendo fans an opportunity to play the amazing games from a decade ago they haven’t played before.
So, what do you think about the version for the Switch? Let us know in the comments!
