5 Reasons to buy the Nintendo Switch

Posted by Ercan Aslan 10/02/2017 Console News,

Nintendo has finally gave all of the details about the Switch, an ultimate console that bridges the gap between living room and handheld gamingTo help you make up your mind, here are the 5 best reasons to buy the Nintendo Switch at launch.

1 - You love Nintendo’s first-party games

Nintendo is launching the Switch with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and has announced Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey. The company will also release a “deluxe” version of Mario Kart 8 and will launch a new franchise with Arms, a fighting game featuring warriors with stretching limbs.

2 - You want to take console games on the go

We’ve seen companies trying this before, but it never succeed.. Unlike the PlayStation Vita, which could stream games from a PlayStation 3, the Switch has a built-in screen, and its Joy-Con controllers can attach to the sides, making a portable out of your home console. You can play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the go and on your couch.

3 - The Switch will be region-free

Nintendo has previously been more strict on this fact, but it's cool to see the company taking a different approach to it. Nevertheless, it also means that you should be able to import a console and play American games.

4 - You hate proprietary connectors

Nintendo is using USB Type-C to charge the Nintendo Switch, so you’ll be able to replace your cables with ease. It even makes it compatible with USB Type-C power banks for longer battery life on the go.

5 -  The controllers are made for mobility

Nintendo has come up with the slide-on, slide-off "Joy-Con" controllers, which can attach to the tablet for comfortable full controller gaming. This allows for easy tablet control, complete with analogue sticks and shoulder buttons. These then detach and connect to a larger body, the main Joy-Con, for a more standard controller shape when at home.

The Joy-Con controllers can be detached from the tablet and held in each hand for gaming with the portable screen. These wireless controls work at a distance so the tablet can be stood up using its built-in kick-stand while gamers sit back comfortably. They're also motion-sensitive for Wii U-style gaming fun.
