Ghost Games, the current developer of ‘Need For Speed’ has shared an update about the next ‘Need For Speed’, announcing that the new game will be releasing by the end of 2017 probably for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. No name was confirmed for this next sequel, however, a few details shared to give the fans what to expect from the game, on their website titled “Need For Speed 2017: Paying It Back”.

The update announcement has not focused on the game specifically but it's more toward a few details about various aspects of Need for Speed, what they mean to fans, developer, and franchise as a whole. More details about this game will be announced in the EA Play in June. One of the most criticized features of this game according to the feedback was the always online requirement. The Always Online requirement has blocked and delayed the players from logging into the game, it hindered the whole experience especially when the player has a weaker connection. Due to this feedback, the developer will make this next sequel of 2015 even better by adding what the players want and remove the possible barriers so that players can have the most exciting experience.

"We’ll have a lot more details to share as we get closer to EA PLAY in June. In the meantime, we can share a few details about various aspects of Need for Speed, what they mean to you, to us as developers, and to the franchise as a whole.

First up, we wanted to say thank you. When we launched the reboot back in 2015, we were blown away by the amount of feedback you gave us. It was clear how passionate you are for Need for Speed, which is a large part of why we’re here today"

Based on this, the player can expect to experience and dive in a bigger and diverse more open-world in this new game. Thus, on their website, Ghost Games confirmed that the campaign of Need For Speed 2017 will be completely playable offline and the best thing is players are able to pause the game. The developer will offer the fans the world not only looks beautiful, as well as the space that gives the fans to do what they want.

In its blog post, Ghost Games has also discussed Customization and the Cops. Customization was the main central focus of the Need for Speed reboot series, and this customization will continue the as important for the next Need for Speed and said to be the strong role ever.

"Customization, we love it, you love it, everyone loves it. What’s not to love? Rest assured that we’re committed to customization having a home within the Need for Speed series. It’s not going away and it will play as strong a role as ever as we move forward into the next game and beyond"

In addition, the developer has teased about the cops that there is nothing more satisfying than being chased by the cops, feeling the heat on the trails as the players tear up through the city. And guess what, the developer will bring back the Rhino back to the street race!

"Woop woop…let’s talk about cops. There’s nothing more satisfying than getting into a cop chase and feeling the heat on your tail as you tear it up through the city. Cops in pursuit, racers up ahead and then out of nowhere BAM! They bring a Rhino to a street race. You got this?

Whether you’re checking out your freshly customized ride or smoking the competition in an event up in the canyons, you’re going to want a world that not only looks beautiful, but offers you the space in which to do the things you want. We’re dialing up the action and allowing you to tear up the tarmac, and dirt, to your heart's content.

Burn rubber as you throw a car around a corner sideways and floor it as you hit an epic jump away from the cops. We’re building the world, but what you do in it is the aspect that excites us most"
