The Epic Clash Between Two Universes Returns With Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite!

Marvel vs. Capcom finally returns with: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite which is the new and sixth main entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series of crossover games and is releasing on September 21(R3), 2017 for Playstation 4, XboxOne and PC.

The last Marvel vs. Capcom game was released in 2012 which is quite a long time ago. Like previous entries, players again can choose between characters from the capcom universe and the marvel universe. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will consist of a variety of great single player modes, but also awesome multiplayer content. The game highlights a combination of classic locations and fan favorite characters from the Marvel and Capcom universe for example Iron Man and Mega Man X.

The game is again a 2D fighting game just as it's previous entries, but the background and characters are rendered in 3D graphics and it features 2-on-2 tag team battles instead of the previous 3-on-3. Infinite now uses a ‘’free-form’’ tag system which is also known as ‘’active switch’’. This means that players can now immediately switch between their tag members at any time which can lead to continuous combo’s and creating their own assists. In Infinite, players can use four attack buttons which contain two pairs of light and heavy punches and kicks, and two buttons for switching between team members and activating infinity stone powers. In this case you will choose one of the six Infinity Stone powers from the Marvel Universe to influence the outcome of the battle. Each of these Infinity Stones will customize the characters with unique abilities and powerful game-changing effects.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite also contains a cinematic story in which Ultron and Sigma forge an alliance with two of the Infinity Stones. Therefore, the heroes of Marvel and Capcom must band together and find the remaining Infinity Stones and defeat both Ultron’s and Sigma’s forces and a deadly group of villains led by Jedah Dohma. The single player also contains modes like Training, Mission, Arcade, and Collection mode. As for multiplayer, it has robust online modes and content including: ranked and casual matches, global leaderboards, and online lobbies with spectator mode.

The character roster features a base of 30 playable characters without DLC including both new and returning heroes and villains from both the universes. Below is a list of the already confirmed characters of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
